Dentures are a removable set of teeth that don’t involve surgically replacing the root of each individual lost tooth. As a result, they don’t prevent jawbone deterioration (something only dental implants can achieve).
They’re cost-effective for patients with a high number of missing teeth, and modern dentures are lightweight and natural in their design. Don’t put up with gaps in your smile (and your confidence) for a moment longer, thanks to our custom-made natural-looking dentures.
Dentures are a set of removable false teeth. They come as either partial (to replace a few missing teeth) or complete (to replace a whole set of missing teeth on one or both arches of teeth).
Dentures stay firmly in place with the help of suction, unlike dental bridges, which rely on support from the teeth on either side of the gaps in your teeth.
Living with missing teeth can and will eventually become something that affects major parts of your day-to-day living. One of the things we hear most often from patients is ‘I can’t believe I never had my teeth replaced sooner’.
Dentures are necessary for the following reasons:
Dentures can change our appearance. They restore your face to its proper proportions, eliminating sagging facial muscles that can add years to your face and affect you emotionally.
Consultation
Your dentist will take digital X-rays and examine the health of your mouth. If there are teeth that need to be extracted, this will be carried out before we start the denture-creation process, to allow your gumline to heal.
Denture preparation
Your dentist will take digital scans of your teeth to obtain the dimensions that will be used to make your custom dentures. Your dentures are made by our dental technician in the laboratory, and the shade of each tooth will be informed by your facial aesthetic (skin, eye and hair colour). We may also ask you to bring in old photos of when you had a full mouth of teeth, as this can help to inform the design of your new dentures.

Most dentures will need to be replaced every 7-10 years, including dentures using the highest quality materials. If you notice any of the following problems, it might be time to replace your dentures:
You should contact your dentist as soon as you can if your dentures feel painful. This said, we’re confident that your dentures will be a comfortable fit, as we design them to precise specifications, as well as aesthetic considerations.
