Dental orthopaedics is a form of interceptive orthodontics, which aims to catch structural dental abnormalities early, to prevent complex intervention in the future.

In many cases, treating children and teenagers’ teeth can prevent extractions and lengthy and multifaceted orthodontics when they become adults. Just as importantly, it can give them vital confidence and self-esteem, particularly around their peers.

Dental orthopaedics – our treatments

Treatment of children and teens with early orthodontic intervention can include the following:

• Addressing jaw irregularities (without surgery).
• Identifying issues that could be causing tooth misalignment (e.g. mouth breathing, sinus problems, the angles at which teeth are coming through).
• Diagnosing breathing problems.
• A course with an orthodontic appliance.
