Dental check-up – what you need to know
Our routine dental check-ups are the backbone of our treatments at Agincourt Dental. Your dental check-up is an essential ‘MOT’ for your dental health, which requires preventative attention, so you can go through life with minimal problems with your teeth.
Why are routine dental check-ups necessary?
Routine dental check-ups are synonymous with prevention. They play a mammoth part in counteracting serious dental problems and allow your dentist to spot dental problems before they cause serious issues for your health.
What to expect
During your routine dental check-up, your dentist will discuss your oral health and medical status with you informally. If anything concerns your teeth, please let your dentist know (we’re good listeners here at Agincourt!).
During your appointment, your dentist will check for:
- Decay.
- Structural abnormalities with your teeth (orthodontic problems, for example).
- Symptoms of mouth cancer.
- Problems with the jaw (TMJ) joint (jaw clicking and headaches).
We will also ask you about your lifestyle to identify your risk factors for problems.
Dental check-up Monmouth – protect your teeth and save money on dental treatment
At Agincourt Dental, we use digital imaging technology to highlight even the most minuscule emerging problems with your teeth, including decay, structural abnormalities, oral cancer, and gum disease. Our mission is to provide you with all the facts so that you can make informed choices about your dental care based on the clinical evidence you can see with your own eyes.
