Damon Ultima Braces – what you need to know
What are the advantages of Damon Braces?
Damon Ultima braces are a unique type of fixed brace – they go beyond just straightening your teeth.
The Damon Ultima Brace is self-ligating. Traditionally, braces need elastics to move your teeth, creating friction and slowing the process down. As a self-ligating brace, a Damon Brace works more quickly and makes the teeth-straightening process more comfortable.
As experienced Damon Brace providers, our dentists can use the braces to complete complex cases, in many cases without the need to extract crowded teeth.
Benefits Summary
- Reduced treatment time.
- Fewer appointments compared with traditional metal braces.
- Aesthetic design that complements your teeth.
- Self-ligating, efficient brace system.
- Gentle forces are exerted, giving you the promise of comfort during your treatment.
What to expect
Consultation
We offer multiple teeth-straightening solutions, so your consultation is a great time to come in and learn about these in more detail.
We can also examine your teeth to give you an idea of any limitations of certain braces, according to how mild or severe your teeth are out of position.
Preparing for treatment
Using our accurate digital scanner, we can take accurate scans of your teeth. These are incredibly precise and reduce the need for us to use dental putty (which is a big no-no, and yet still used in many dental practices across the country!).
Your braces
You are ready to start your treatment. Your dentist will let you know how often to come in and have your brace tightened based on your clinical needs. This will be less frequent than if you were to choose traditional braces or ceramic braces.
Your retainer
Congratulations! Your teeth are now beautifully straight! You simply need to wear your retainer each night to make sure your teeth stay put in their new position.
