Tooth-coloured fixed braces for moderate and severe orthodontic concerns with your teeth.
Discreet, fixed teeth straightening is one of our most popular options for a symmetrical and uniform smile. Ceramic braces boast features like better comfort and an ultra-streamlined and ‘invisible’ design compared with traditional metal braces.
Ceramic braces – what you need to know
What are the advantages of ceramic braces?
Adult patients are particularly favoured by adult orthodontic patients, as they blend in with your tooth shade. The ceramic translucent brackets are small and therefore barely noticeable, and a bonus is the tooth-coloured wires which hold them all firmly in place.
One of the biggest barriers to orthodontic treatment for adult patients is having to wear a brace that everyone will see. Ceramic braces resolve this issue, as do Spark clear aligners (which we also offer).
Benefit summary:
- Discreet fixed braces (with tooth-coloured wires and translucent brackets).
- Comfortable (thanks to smaller brackets).
- Suitable for severe orthodontic problems (unlike Invisalign).
What to expect
Consultation
We offer multiple teeth-straightening solutions, so your consultation is a great time to come in and learn about these in more detail. We can also examine your teeth to give you an idea of any limitations of certain braces, according to how mild or severe your teeth are out of position.
Preparing for treatment
Using our accurate Trios scanner, we can take digital scans of your teeth. These are incredibly accurate and reduce the need for us to use dental putty (which is a big no-no and yet still used in many dental practices across the country!).
Your braces
You are ready to start your treatment, and your dentist will ask you to come in to have your brace tightened every 6-8 weeks.
Your retainer
Congratulations! Your teeth are now beautifully straight! You simply need to wear your retainer each night to make sure your teeth stay put in their new position.
